# Connect ChatGPT (/docs/build/connect/chatgpt)

WriteStack is listed in ChatGPT's app directory.

## Steps [#steps]

1. In ChatGPT, open **Apps** and search for **WriteStack**.
2. Click **Connect**. ChatGPT opens WriteStack. Sign in and approve access.
3. In a chat, pick WriteStack from the **+** menu, or type `@WriteStack`, and ask, for example: "Draft three Notes about my latest post."

## If it doesn't work [#if-it-doesnt-work]

| Problem | Fix |
| --- | --- |
| "MCP access is not available on your current plan" | Your WriteStack plan doesn't include MCP. See [plans and limits](/docs/account/plans-and-limits). |
| Sign-in window closes and nothing connects | Log in to [writestack.io](https://www.writestack.io) in the same browser first, then connect again. |
| Notes were scheduled but didn't post | Open WriteStack, go to **My Notes → Scheduled notes** and click **Sync N scheduled notes to Substack**. See [Sync](/docs/using/concepts/sync). |
